Scope of work
I was hired to lead the redesign of THE FRANKLY SPEAKING's website as part of a broader rebranding initiative. My role encompassed identifying areas for improvement, conducting competitor research, and gaining insights into the olfactory industry. I designed both desktop and mobile interfaces in Figma, including a new sitemap, wireframes, layouts, navigation, and components and instructed our developer in building the site. I also designed new SoMe templates for the brand.

Problem and Solution
To make the new website shine, we drew inspiration from the visualisation of olfactory elements, incorporating experimental design features such as gradient ambient backgrounds, a robust layout grid, prominent typography and horizontal scrolling. The goal is to stand out from the classical portfolios that Italian market has and provide a sense of immersive experience that the collaboration with the studio will bring.
Collaboration and Implementation
My process included analyzing the previous website with its strengths and weaknesses, conducting research across the market both within the industry and outside of it, and gathering inspiration that reflected a similar vision to the newly created branding. I facilitated meetings between the brand designer, client, developer, and myself as a UX/UI designer throughout the project timeline. I crafted prototypes to communicate ideas and progress to them and gathered feedback. I also created templates of pages that were to be dynamically reproduced with different content, such as the journal page.


Outcome
The redesigned website reflects THE FRANKLY SPEAKING's new brand identity, offering an engaging user experience that is both memorable and intuitive.
