"Compartment no 6" is an internationally co-produced movie about forming an unlikely friendship on a train headed for the far north. It was released by Sony Classics in 2021 to widely positive reactions, was awarded Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival and also got nominated for the Best Picture - Foreign Language 2022 at the Golden Globe Awards.

Scope of work
I was hired to design costumes for the actors along with Jaanus Vahtra and also to shoot still photography with Sami Kuokkanen. Director Juho Kuosmanen gave us a simple brief: everything should be as life true as possible and be in line with the style of the 90s. The preparation of costumes took place in Estonia followed by two months of filming in various parts of northern Russia.
